Clovis La Britannia

Clovis La Britannia
Name: Clovis La Britannia
Seiyuu: Nobuo Tobita
Age: 24 (Libra)
Nationality: Britannian
Blood Type: O
Clovis is the third prince of the Britannian Imperial family. At the start of the series, he is the governor of Area 11. He is seen as a spoilt, stupid, dramatic, cowardly and a bit of a narcissistic. The Elevens are like flies to him, he doesn't care if they are people, he easily ordered the destruction of the Shinjuku Ghetto and the people living there.

Clovis was the first in the Imperial Family to find out Lelouch was alive. He is also the first to be killed by Lelouch, after Lelouch uses Geass on Clovis to find out about the death of his mother.

At this point, viewers saw Clovis as the spoilt brat of the family, not caring about anyone but himself. Most were happy that the evil Prince, that ordered a massacre of Japanese without a waver in his voice, had been killed.

Later on, we learn of Clovis's softer side. When Lelouch was still living in the Imperial Villa, Clovis would often visit him to play chess. Even though he lost, he kept coming back and viewed Lelouch and a sort of 'rival'. He probably really loved Lelouch, Nunnally and Empress Marianne, he built a garden on top of the Governor's building (I would assume it's the governor's building...) replicating the garden in Empress Marianne's home.

He really enjoys art, and his quite talented too. He even made an Art Week in Area Eleven. When Euphemia is visiting an Art Gallery featuring Clovis's works, she sees the beautiful paintings he painted, one of Lelouch, Nunnally and Marianne.

His chess record with Lelouch consisted of 36 losses out of 37 matches. His last match was quite close, but it was interrupted because Clovis was sent for by his father. Clovis and Lelouch never finished this match, as Lelouch and Nunnally were taken to Japan. Clovis became the Governor of Area Eleven because of Lelouch and Nunnally's 'deaths' and sees the unstable state of Japan as a puzzle left for him by Lelouch. He went to Japan three years before the beginning of Code Geass, and his time there obviously changed his kind ways as he became more cold hearted.
