Kallen is a half Britannian half Japanese girl who sees herself as 'more' of a Japanese person. She attends Ashford Academy, but is regularly away from school as her health is poor. Her grades however, are top-notch and she's from the prestigious and rich Stadfeld family. Her good looks and quiet, shy personality has made her popular among the guys at her school. That however, is just an act. Kallen is in fact an incredibly strong, physically and mentally, girl who fights in an anti-Britannia terrorist group. She is anything but quiet and shy, and is an excellent Knightmare Pilot. She lives in a mansion with her biological mother as well as her step-mother and father (although, as a highly prominent figure, he is often away on trips). However, her biological mother is the maid of the house and is often mistreated, even by Kallen herself, as she assumes her clumsy and weak mother stays in the household for her father; clutching to a previous lover. When Zero comes into the picture and re-organises the terrorist group, Kallen becomes the ace pilot (well, she had always been the ace). She receives the Guren II after her Glasglow gets destroyed from protecting her mother, and she finds out that her mother wasn't staying in the household for her father at all; she was staying for her her only remaining child, Kallen. Kallen had an older brother called Naoto, who passed away some time ago. He was the previous leader of the Terrorist group she's part of, and was probably a big influence on Kallen. It's not known if Naoto was full blooded or half blooded brother of Kallen, but their mother is the same. Although skeptical of Zero and ashamed of her mother at first, she now fights for a world she and her mother can live peacefully in, for a world her brother dreamed of, as well as fighting loyally along side with Zero.
