Nina is part of the Student Council, and a childhood friend of Milly Ashford. She is the typical nerd, always reading a book or on the computer. She is also excellent at science, which Lelouch notes in episode 11. Nina's grandfather worked with Milly's grandfather on the Knightmare types Ganymede and Ion series, and so they grew up together. However, this caused the downfall of the Ashford family and went bankrupt. Nina is seen apologizing for it in episode 6.75, as she believed it was her grandfather's fault. Nina has an extreme fear of Elevens. This is not known why, but she's already anxious around Elevens, and she can't stand being near them. In episode 8, the Order of the Black Knights, she became extremely nervous just leaving the Tokyo settlement. When Suzaku joined the Student Council Nina keeps her distance, to the extent of hiding in her room. However, as time passes, she warms up a little to him. She also has an extreme obsession of Euphemia. Ever since episode 8 when she stood up for her, she has been 'in love' with Euphemia. She looks to her as a Goddess. Although her obsession seems extreme to most people, the next time she meets Euphemia, she only gives her guiding words and encouragement. Appearance
