Character Overview
The main character of the series. A very smart 17 year old who attends Ashford Academy as a normal student. In reality however, Lelouch is a Britannian prince who was sent to Japan as a political hostage. His mother was assassinated when he was young, and the assassins also crippled his younger sister. He is good friends with most people at Ashford Academy, and he is Suzaku's childhood friend. He meets a green haired girl named C.C, who grants him a power he names Geass, which allows him to command absolute obedience. Under the guise of Zero, he aims towards a world where he and his sister can live in peace, even if it leads him on the road of carnage.
Lelouch's Childhood friend, Suzaku was the only son of Japan's previous Prime Minister who died in Britannian's invasion of Japan. He is with the Britannian military and is trying to turn Britannia into a good country from the inside. He is very kind and greatly treasures life, and is very concerned with saving people. He doesn't believe anything can be achieved through the wrong means, and is a firm believer in justice.
Apparently not human, C.C is a mysterious girl Lelouch and Suzaku met when she emerged from a top secret military capsule. After surviving a lethal bullet shot in the head, she touches Lelouch's hand and grants Lelouch the power of Geass with the condition that he grants her a wish. The two are separated, but she later meets up with Lelouch again. She decides that they're partners, and she will support him with his rebellion.
A teenage terrorist leading a double life, Kallen serves as the main Knightmare pilot of the terrorist groups she's in. When she's not attending her terrorist duties, she attends Ashford Academy, under the pretense of being a weak and sickly girl which acts as an excuse for her regular absense. She later becomes one of Zero's most valued and trusted subordinates.
Lelouch's little sister, and one of his 'weak points'. Nunnally is a crippled girl; in a wheel chair and blind. She is kind to everyone regardless of race, and is tolerant of her life, living it without complaint of her disabilities. She is one of Suzaku's childhood friends and also attends Ashford Academy, and has befriended the members of the the Student Council.
