Stage 03, The False Classmate

Lelouch is holding Clovis at Gunpoint, and accuses him of killing his mother, Clovis screams that he had nothing to do with it. Lelouch uses Geass on him, asking him to tell him who killed his mother. Clovis replies that second prince Schneizel and second princess Cornelia would know. But when Lelouch asks more, he stays silent. The Geass wares off and Clovis resumes begging for his life. Even though Lelouch now knows that Clovis didn't have a part in his mother’s death, he kills him anyway.

Even though I'm only your half-brother, I'm still your brother!

Later on, Lelouch is back at school and is in a student council meeting. His normal life continues, and he and his friends mess around in school, finishing their student council work and Millay sexually harassing Shirley!

They finish their work and they head off to class. The other students are talking about the news, the events of Shinjuku have already been released, but Lelouch wonders why the information that Princes Clovis was dead hadn't been shown. Lelouch remembers the moment he killed Clovis, and suddenly feels sick.

A scene change, Jeremiah and Viletta are discussing how the killer entered Clovis's room so easily, and what will happen to the purists without Prince Clovis.

With Lelouch again, he has recovered from his sickness and walks into class. He stares at a red haired girl, which a lot of his female classmates are crowding around, "Kallen! It's been so long! Is your body ok?", Kallen weakly replies, "Yes. But I can't push myself too hard though". Lelouch recognises her as one of the terrorists from Shinjuku. Rivalz sees him staring at her, and explains that her body is weak so she can't come to school often. Even so, she has top grades, and her family, the Stadfeld family is very rich.

At lunch, Lelouch meets Kallen. He uses Geass on her, asking if she was in the Glasgow the other day, and why she's a terrorist. She replies that she's that she was in the Glasgow, and that she's Japanese, even though half of her blood is Britannian. He asks why she would go that far, but we don't hear the answer.

The Geass wears off, and Lelouch is about to leave. He decides to use Geass on her again, and says "Don't say anything about Shinjuku". The Geass doesn't do anything, and Kallen asks why he would say something like that. Lelouch, using Geass again, orders Kallen to go back to the classroom. It still doesn't do anything, and Kallen replies she will as soon as he answers her own question. Lelouch is saved, as Shirley decides to interrupt them, and tells them to hurry up to the Science lab. Lelouch sees the opportunity and runs off claiming he needs to get the science equipment.

Meanwhile, General Padre is with a group of scientists, telling them that he will probably be sent back to Britannia and he will have all the secret experiments transferred to Narita. They have C.C. trapped in what looks like an electric chair, and a blurry image of her past is shown.

At night, Nunnally is excitedly telling Lelouch about origami. She tells him that if you fold a thousand cranes, your wish will come true, and asks what Lelouch would wish for. He doesn't reply, instead he asks the same question. Nunnally says that she wants a kind world. Lelouch promises that when she can see again, the world will be like that.

"I wish for a kind world"

The next day, Lelouch sees one of his teachers in the morning, and decides to test Geass. He asks what the questions on the test will be, and the teacher replies the humiliation of Edinburgh and the battle of the new continent. Lelouch uses it again, asking the same question. His teacher replies that he should stop joking around and study harder. Lelouch realises that Geass won't work on the same person twice.

In class, Lelouch is delivering a speech, and Kallen thinks that the voice from Shinjuku and his voice sound similar. Lelouch knows that what he did yesterday informed her of Shinjuku. They both decide that things need to be settled quickly. After class, Lelouch approaches Kallen, asking her if she could talk. Kallen replies that she was expecting that (much to Shirley's and the other girls' surprise).

At the same time, General Padre is escorting Prince Clovis's dead body, and is attacked and accused by Jeremiah. Jeremiah pulls off the vehicle's rooftop, and yells that he won't allow him to stay by Clovis's side any longer.

Back at Ashford, Lelouch is introducing Kallen to the Student Council clubhouse, hoping that they could talk uninterrupted. But Millay comes in, with many extravagant foods that she cooked, and tells Kallen that she's now on the Student Council. Rivalz decides to celebrate with champagne, though Shirley disagrees with it, they all fight over it, and in the end the champagne cork comes off, spilling everything on top of Kallen leaving her drenched.

Kallen ends up having to take a shower. Lelouch comes in (the shower curtain's drawn, of course!) with spare clothes, Kallen asks him to give her a purse. When he does, she fiercely grabs his hand, taking the purse and revealing a knife. She asks him if he was at Shinjuku the other day, but the phone rings. Lelouch picks it up, and gives the phone to Kallen. She hears the same voice from the other day, and is confused since she thought it was Lelouch. The voice tells her to meet at Tokyo Tower, and then hangs up. Lelouch asks who it was, guessing that it was a friend from a net game or something, Kallen just goes with the flow, she says he's right and lets go of his hand.

Lelouch goes back, and it's shown that he was using Geass on Sayako to play a recorded message on the phone.

When Kallen finishes showering, Lelouch explains what the Student Council does and they meet the others watching television. It's a news broadcast revealing that Prince Clovis is dead, moments later; it says that the primary suspect is an honorary Britannian, and shows a picture of Suzaku being dragged off by some soldiers.

Comment/Review:
Great episode for Kallen fan-boys! Haha XD I thought this episode was great, except I think the whole Lelouch making up the net game thing was a bit random and didn't make a lot of sense. The flashes of C.C. and her past were a nice touch, and the Suzaku thing at the end was a good twist too (but still didn't really made a lot of sense... O_o). All in all, it was a good episode exploring the Geass's power. - Emily
