"It's Lelouch!"

Confused and betrayed, Kallen flees.
Lelouch is also telling C.C. his story. Captured by Suzaku, Suzaku takes him directly to the Emperor.
"Former 17th successor to the throne, Lelouch Vi Britannia... it's been a whlie, my son."
- Emperor
In reward for capturing Zero, Suzaku asks to be put in the most elite Knights in Britannia: Knights of Rounds. Suzaku explains that he is moving up through Britannia, getting promoted to turn Britannia good from the inside. Even if he is selling out a friend. The Emperor likes his ruthless attitude and agrees to his proposal.
The Emperor walks towards Lelouch. He probably would have killed Lelouch here, but he still has use for him. He tells him that he will rewrite Lelouch's memories, so that he will forget about being Zero, about his mother and sister, to forget everything and become a normal human. The Emperor's eyes glow the sign of Geass. He looks Lelouch in the eye
"Stop! You're going to take everything away from me again?! Mother... and even Nunnally?!"

Blind to his pleas,
"Charles Di Britannia shall engrave... your new, false memories!"
- Emperor
He shouts as Lelouch's mind flies through the realm of Geass.
Moving to the present, C.C. tells Lelouch that she didn't give the Emperor his Geass. She also does not know the whereabouts of Nunnally, and both don't know anything about Lelouch's so called brother, Rollo.
By chance, a soldier comes by, and Lelouch uses Geass on him to steal his Sutherland. The battle continues, the advantage becoming their's as Lelouch commands the battle.
"To think Zero's true identity was that of a student's... But he does make a real difference!"

From his commanding point, Lelouch finds himself confronted by Kallen. She holds a gun towards him.
Meanwhile, the Emperor is showing Suzaku to a place. Suzaku is the only member of the Rounds who know of Geass and Zero's identity, he is the first person to go there; not even Schneizel has been to the place they're going. Walking through an eerie mist, they find themselves in the heaven like place the Emperor is often seen in- the temple in the sky. He explains that it is in fact not a temple, but a weapon used to destroy gods.
"It's called the Sword of Akasha."

Kallen has a gun pointed towards Lelouch. Lelouch notes that Kallen abandoned him at the time on Kamenijima Island, but Kallen retaliates that he was lying the whole time, about being her Zero being so close, and about Geass.
"Did you use the Geass on me, as well?"
- Kallen
She asks if her admiration and loyalty were just orders by the Geass. By Lelouch calmly and kindly replies that her heart belongs to herself. She made her own decisions, the decisions to choose him. She tells him that she believes in Zero, not Lelouch. He tells her that's fine, but also asks how long she plans on wearing the revealling bunny outfit. Kallen looks down as her breasts hang out and is embaressed, calling Leloouch a pervert.
Meanwhile, Britannia sends in hundreds of reinforcements, to show off their strength to the Chinese delegates visiting. The massive Britannian army swarm the sky like flies and commence their attack. Lelouch notes that Governor Calares would now be in control, sealing off all exits.
"That's why I win."

C.C. is seen setting up a level for their plan. Lelouch is confident, but suddenly his units start disappearing from the screen. A new Knightmare comes in of black, red and yellow, it is a prototype of Lancelot's mass production. It moves at lightning speed and Lelouch finds himself facing it head on. Kallen and Urabe move in to destroy it, but it's speed is unworldly; it's not physically possible, Lelouch deduces that there must be something else behind it's capabilities.
It moves in to kill Lelouch, but Urabe's Gekka blocks it's attack. Urabe tells Lelouch, that he doesn't care if he's a student, and truly believes in him. Urabe entrusts Zero to Kallen;
"He's the only hope we have."

The black Lancelot prototype Knightmare is stabbing Urabe as his Gekka stabs back.
"The name of the Shiseiken... is not for show!"
- Urabe
Urabe's Gekka explodes. Lelouch looks on which compassion and sadness.
Unfortunatly, the enemy Knightmare is unfased, using it's teleportation-like technique again. The Guren stands in front of Lelouch's Sutherland, protecting it. Lelouch shows real concern, "W-Wait!" But Kallen replies that she's made up her mine as well; for Zero. C.C. interrupts, telling that the preparations are completed.
"Urabe, this little time you created for us was not in vain."

Lelouch pushes a button, and the bombs C.C. set up explode, collapsing the building. Lelouch and Kallen escape, a long with many of their comrades and allies. The enemy Knightmares fall to the ground, and not only that, but the tower collapses on Governor Calares's commanding point. Lelouch notes that in eliminating escape routes, also tells Lelouch where he's hiding. Lelouch laughs with Calares's death.
The Britannian forces of Area 11 take command of Guilford who happens to be in the area.
As Guilford shouts commands, their television shows the face of Zero.
"I am Zero! To all Japanese, I have returned!"

Around the world and around Area 11 people watch. Guilford is in shock and the public are confused about his return; he was supposed to be dead. Suzaku also watches Zero's broadcast.
In China, Diethard, Sayoko and Laksharta watch on. Diethard dances with glee. Kaguya also watches, as does Nina in absolute fury.
Zero comments on that discrimination and war are very much still at large. The world hasn't changed in the slightest. This is why he has returned.
The Knight of Rounds also watch on, where we see Suzaku and his new friends.
Guilford's forces find that the signal is coming from the Chinese Embassy. They are confused; did the Chinese negotiate before hand?
Zero's intelligence to kill the Governor while creating an escape route at the same time proves his authenticity; he's the real Zero.
He again declares the formation of the United States of Japan, that the room they are standing in will be the starting territory. There is no discrimination on the people, but only that they must carry out justice.
Gao hai, the powerful man Chinese man, is seen to be under the influence of Geass. Outside the embassy, The Britannian Army has gathered, but Xing Ke sends them away, telling them that is it Chinese territory. The Britannians retreat, but the one Knightmare returns, the enemy knightmare that destroyed Urabe.
Rollo comes out of the cockpit. His right eye glows the sign of Geass.
"That's why I'm here to kill Zero..."
